Drive Unity rowing is A Registered Association helping ethnic minority youth in hong kong.

Drive Unity is a training and mentorship initiative empowering ethnic minority youth in Hong Kong through the sport of rowing. By offering scholarships, and personalized coaching, the program helps participants earn official certification from the Hong Kong China Rowing Association. With continued growth, athletes may also be scouted by the Hong Kong Sports Institute as Full-Time Athletes.

1 - 1 Coaching

Personalized coaching for dedicated rowers ready to elevate their performance. Drive Unity’s 1–1 sessions offer tailored guidance, technique refinement, and focused support to help you reach your full potential on and off the water.

Mentorship

At Drive Unity, mentorship is at the heart of everything we do. We connect students with committed mentors who inspire growth, foster leadership, and champion each individual’s journey in both sport and in life.

Drive Unity removes financial barriers by sponsoring costs for rowing certification programs like the HKCRA Star certification. We also offer transportation and meal subsidies to ensure every athlete has the support they need to succeed.

Hailey Tang

Founder

Hailey Tang is the founder of Drive Unity and a dedicated member of the Hong Kong National Rowing Team. As a high-level athlete, Hailey has experienced firsthand the transformative power of sport. It’s ability to instill discipline, build confidence, and create a sense of belonging. Driven by a deep belief in inclusivity and social equity, she founded Drive Unity to extend these same opportunities to ethnic minority youth in Hong Kong.

Hailey is passionate about breaking down barriers and challenging the systemic discrimination that many marginalized communities face. Through rowing scholarships, tailored mentorship, and clear development pathways, she is working to ensure that talent and determination—not background—define a young person's potential. With Drive Unity, Hailey is not only creating future athletes, but also building a more inclusive and unified Hong Kong.

Islam Delih

Islam is a competitive rower on the Hong Kong national team and a proud member of Drive Unity. Raised in a family of five facing poverty and social exclusion, he was supported by youth services during difficult times. Rowing, discovered by chance, became his passion and path forward. Now representing Hong Kong, Islam uses his platform to advocate for ethnic minority youth, sharing his story and helping others compete, be seen, and belong
